Outside area

La Bassotta is located at the tip of Lake Como, in an especially sunny position on the Boschetto peninsular, part of the Sorico district. La Bassotta is a comfortable, well planned cottage with a wonderful sunny garden, approx. 650 sqm. This spacious, well established garden is a great place for sunbathing and playing, there´s a children´s swing and plenty of trees to give some welcome shade. The neighbourhood is made up of other private holiday homes in a peaceful rural setting. The headland has sand all the way around it. There are two gently sloping sandy beaches, approx. 50m. and 100m. from the house, one of which has a vast breathtaking view of the lake. Outside in the garden you will find everything you need, garden furniture, sun loungers and a charcoal barbecue. There is a garden shed with a washing machine and all the necessary accessories.

Swimming and wellness

There is a great beach with sand, lawn and a stage approx. 100 away and a small sandy beach approx. 50 m away. Both beaches delight with sweeping views to the south of the lake.

At the house, there is parking space available within the garden area.

LA BREVA Recommendation

This versatile holiday home is all about relaxation, leisure and recreational activities. This is a great starting point for virtually all water and mountain sports. For families with children, toddlers or teens, this is a recreational oasis surrounded by nature. The sheltered garden is a glorious sun trap, especially nice in the early spring and late fall. You are kindly requested not to smoke in the house. If you are holidaying with friends and require further accommodation, there is Casa Girasole approx. 70 m away. You can deposit and launch your own boat with trailer on lakeside municipal sites or on sandy river banks (with a paid municipality ticket) and the Gera Lario harbor also has mooring.

Floor plan and ambience

This holiday home is comfortably decorated in a modern country style, with terracotta tiled flooring. The inside walls have been plastered and some have been stylishly decorated using a colour-wash technique.

The roof covered terrace leads into a large comfortable living area with a sofa, (extends out - 120 cm width), a chair, pellet stove. Integrated into the living area is a spacious dining area with dining table and chairs. The kitchen is well equipped and has good quality cooking utensils and tableware. The kitchen is also fitted with Italian granite countertops.

The bathroom with shower, leads off the living area, as does the master bedroom. This main bedroom has a double bed with large closets.
A second, smaller bedroom leads off the master bedroom and is furnished with bunk beds (with no closets).
The second bathroom with wash stand and W.C. also leads off the master bedroom.

There is a very popular restaurant, just 200m. away, where you can enjoy typical dishes from this region. There are another two restaurants within walking distance which also have good fish menus.
You can cycle and explore the whole peninsula easily and conveniently, you can take the lake shore path and visit the neighbouring towns of Gera Lario on Lake Como, or Dascio on Lake Mezzola.

Wir waren eine Woche lang Ende April im Blockhaus. Morgens und abends wurde es jeweils recht kühl und wir mussten mit dem Pelletofen heizen. Dies klappte wunderbar. Leider reichte der vorhandene Pelletvorrat nicht aus und wir mussten erst einen Laden suchen, wo wir Nachschub kaufen konnten.
Wir hatten unseren Katamaran dabei und es war optimal, dass wir ihn auf der geschützen Wiese aufstellen und auch dort stehen lassen konnten. Ideal auch für das Ein- und Auswassern. Gerne kommen wir wieder.
